First Aid:

“Hope for the best and prepare for the worst” Safety and Hygiene is the prime concern of the school in every sphere. Still the school always maintains a first aid kit in case of emergencies. The kit contains all the basic requirements which are useful for any immediate assistance. It also provides proper periodic first Aid training for students and faculty team catering to the need of precaution

Health is not about an annual check-up of weight, height, dental hygiene, or a nutrition chart. At AJPS we have a dedicated room, the infirmary room tos manage and assess any health issues that may arise during school hours, as the wellbeing of our students is of utmost importance.

 In the event of an emergency requiring medical attention, the student will be shifted to the nearest hospital and parents will be informed of the same. Basic first-aid kits have been made available in high risk areas such as the laboratories as well as on the school buses.

Gender Sensitivity Programme

Gender Sensitivity Program at AJPS aims to cultivate values of equality among the students by recognizing women’s role to be as important as men’s in addressing environmental and development issues. The Program works towards sensitizing the students about social gender-based differences and enables them to empower themselves and those around them with awareness and action. The gender perspective is not only relevant to projects where women are the principal target group, but it must also be mainstreamed in all environmental and development programs. We encourage students to examine the systematic discrimination, oppression and prejudice that operate through social norms and practices, that create not just inequality but injustice in their trail.

 

Life Skills Programme

This unique program focuses on developing learning effective problem-solving and relationship building skills to flourish in a competitive world. The Life Skills Program at Edify consciously equips our students with the skills they need to get through life’s ups and downs with equal ease. 

For example, this program tries to incorporate sessions like: Self-awareness, anger management, problem solving, creative building better relationships, effective communication, coping with stress, critical thinking, decision making, time management etc.

Using a wide variety of methods that range from discussions to film screenings and interactive games, the Program imparts these skills through an experiential approach that involves real-world dilemmas into the classroom, giving our students the extra edge they might need to face adversity and fortune with grace. 

 

Student Wellness Programme

The Student Wellness Programme enables our students to engage with matters of health, hygiene, safety & nutrition in creative ways. The Programme both informs and guides through the lifestyle choices they make, encouraging deeper reflection and thought at every step of the way.

This program engages all members of the school community in health promotion and prevention strategies that empower students to develop skills & competencies which support healthy choices and academic success as a foundation for life-long development.

The programme also brings individual habits and community practices under the scanner, investing in our students the confidence they need to bring about positive changes that benefit themselves and those around them.
